The Awakening marks a spiritual turning point: a new awareness dawning that cannot be undone. Something you did not see, about yourself, a relationship, a belief or the direction of your life, is now visible, and the card acknowledges that this is often uncomfortable before it is liberating. Truth that was hidden was hidden for a reason, usually protection, and seeing it means outgrowing the protection.
